Our Team
Mathan grew up in North York, attending local TDSB schools in the Gifted program. He worked for CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Consulting Services as a Manager for years before walking away from his Bay Street position to pursue a line of work that generates meaningful contributions to society on a daily basis. Within months of leaving the bank, he had built a strong business plan and commenced phase one of renovation to open a school at Keele and Finch.
Aizen Academy was officially launched in early 2015, and Mathan taught every class that was offered. His energy, passion, and commitment to the students is unparalleled and has become the foundation that our services operate on. He is fully trained in and has taught the highest levels of all programs at Aizen Academy. He also serves as VP of Product & Training for iLEAP Club Canada. Mathan is excellent at public speaking and enjoys emceeing events across the country.

Andrew was personally recommended to Aizen Academy by his Sociology Professor from George Brown, Janelle Brady. Andrew immediately showed promise as his passion for teaching is unmistakable. He spends a lot of time on preparation to ensure all students enjoy their classes to the fullest. He complements his teaching with clever puns, jokes, stories, and a wealth of interesting facts. Andrew’s students shower him with praise and bombard him with emails seeking his expertise in communication. He is utmost professional, always dressed to impress, and a witty conversationalist. It is a joy to watch Andrew facilitate an iLEAP Club session, engaging all of his students while infusing energy and enthusiasm into the class.

Thelani is a champion in all that she attempts. She attended Aizen Academy as a student in 2016 and her classes were paid by a Tennis Canada scholarship that she had won. Thelani joined our team when she started her Engineering program at Ryerson University and she immediately grew fond of teaching. She is hardworking and committed to excellence in all that she attempts. She is a confident young woman who has established herself as a force in the male dominated engineering sector. She is a great example for young girls to look up to and shatters any notion of a glass ceiling. Thelani’s unrelenting flame that fuels her successes spreads through our centre and into the hearts of her young fans.
